Howling Bells

The Howling Bells possess a sound reminiscent of another time another town another place. They’ll take you to a place far eerier than Twin Peaks. They'll spirit you to the abandoned Old West, to a town shrouded in snowfall, illuminated by a campfire. There the melodies of this four piece will reel and roll in your head like desire and anticipation.

Howling Bells have got it all. They’ve got the looks, they’ve got the style, they’ve got the swagger... and most of all, they’ve got the tunes.

Their debut self-titled album was recorded with renowned Coldplay producer Ken Nelson and is a truly intoxicating collection of tracks; lurching from blues-fuelled rock to country-folk lamentations. This is sure to be THE debut album of 2006.

Howling Bells write the kind of songs that will be buzzing around your head for days. Their debut single Low Happening is out as a download single on Mon December 12th and the second the riffs kicks in, vying for attention with the tribal drum rhythms, you just know you’re onto something special. Vocalist Juanita Stein is one of the most stunning vocalists we’ve heard in years and is already drawing comparisons with the likes of PJ Harvey and Debbie Harry.
